Who we are

Lubyanza is a locally-based research group made up of boda riders and academics. We conduct regular surveys of the boda sector — covering policy, income, safety, working life and more — and make the findings available to policymakers, investors, and anyone who wants to understand how this sector actually works.

A lubyanza is a boda rider without a stage. Most riders start this way, and those who remain without a stage live on the outside of the system.
